Q: Who can attend a Pole Dance Class?
A: Pole Fitness is for all women. It doesn't matter what your size or shape is, or your level of experience. Age is not an issue either, My girls range in age between 8 and 65. Moreover, anyone who wants to get fit while having fun, and feel better about themselves can take Pole Fitness.
Participants with the following conditions should not participate: Severe back/hip problems, moderate/severe heart problems, pregnancy, or a current muscle injury. Minimum age is 18 years old and there is no upper age limit. These classes are currently for women only.
Q: What can I expect when taking a class at Sheer Inspiration?
A: Sessions start with varied stretching exercises to increase your flexibility and range of motion, including work with yoga blocks and resistance bands. Next, there is either a movement warm-up with review, or an aerial conditioning warm-up that will work all your muscle groups to increase your overall strength and tone. The remainder of the session focuses on pole work. All my sessions incorporate static and spin Pole, using both your 'good side' and 'bad side'.
Q: What should I bring and wear to my session?
A: The only thing you need to bring to class is your beautiful self and water :) I recommend that you wear something that you can move & feel comfortable in. Shorter workout shorts with a sports bra and tank top are a good choice, as it's important to have bare arms and legs in order to get a good grip on the pole. Shoes are a non-issue, as we Pole barefoot.
Q: Why no body lotions, oils or jewelry?
A: Creams, lotions and oils stay in the pores of your skin and become greasy, which transfers to the pole making it slippery and dangerous. Please don't wear any body creams or lotions on the day of your session. I don't allow wrist/hand jewelry of any kind. The hard metal could scratch the pole, damage your jewelry and will affect your grip.
Q: How many levels are there?
A: I teach all aspects of Pole Fitness and the tricks range in difficulty from Beginner - Extreme, with multiple levels within each.
There is infinite growth with Pole. There are new moves born all the time with multiple variations that can be utilized. I also teach spinning pole technique, movement/musicality, chair/lap dance tutorials, poleOgraphy classes, aerial conditioning & strengthening classes, flexibility classes and nutrition counseling.
Q. How long is a session?
A: All classes are approximately 1 hour in length. Parties are between 1 and 1.5 hours in length, depending on how you customize your party.
Q: Will I hurt myself?
A: As with any physical fitness program, you should do what you are comfortable with, and follow my guidelines. You will most definitely have bruising in the beginning as your body adjusts to this type of activity, as well as soreness. Anything worth learning takes time, patience, and may hurt a little along the way :).
Q: I am pregnant, can I still participate?
A: No, there will be no exceptions. Even if your doctor said it was okay I cannot teach you.
Q: Do I need any dance experience?
A: Absolutely not, Pole is very unique in that no counts are ever used. I use your natural abilities along with very specialized techniques & training to bring out your inner pole diva.
Q: How do I schedule a lesson?
A: Groups, privates and drop-in's are all done an appointment basis, with ongoing group classes, at all levels, that meet weekly. You may contact me online via Facebook, my personal email: finenatasha@yahoo.com, or just give me a ring at 865-293-9996.
Q: Where are you located?
A: I teach in my studio both privately and in a group setting in our beautiful downtown location: 121 West Jackson Avenue Suite 101, Knoxville Tn 37902.
Q: What if I miss a class?
A: If you need to cancel or reschedule a private lesson, please let me know at least 8 hours in advance. I completely understand a busy schedule, and life's little hurdles. My schedule is quiet flexible, and I will happily work with you to accommodate your schedule as well as my own. However, if no-shows or cancellations become frequent I will deduct credits from your package, or discontinue our teacher/student relationship. If you miss your regularly scheduled group class, you may drop-in another class, within your level, for a make-up. Also, packages are only good for one year, unless previously discussed and arranged with me, they are also non-refundable and non-transferable; after one year packages are null and void.

Toned Arms, Back, Legs and Abdominals!!
Pole Fitness targets all these areas, working two to five muscle groups at a time! However, don't be surprised when your flexibility and range of motion start to increase after just the first session.

Each new move is a challenge. Many of the moves look unthinkable, but when broken down and taught with proper instruction, all are achievable. The confidence boost after achieving a move is beyond fantastic and will stay with you throughout the week.
